Sponsor trips to Ethiopia are a great way to meet your COEEF sponsored student(s) and to see first-hand why educating girls in Ethiopia is so important. On these trips you will visit different COEEF partner schools and students, volunteer your time at the schools helping with projects and students, experience the culture in the city and countryside, see the wildlife and nature, learn about the rich history of Ethiopia, attend local traditional dinners with cultural dance and song entertainment, visit local businesses, and much more.

COEEF features two trips per year. The pricing and tentative itinerary are as follows (please be aware that the itinerary may change due to scheduling conflicts, holidays or other arrangements that need to be made. Pricing may vary due to inflation and exchange rates in Ethiopia.

Addis Ababa and Southern Ethiopia (Awassa / Yirgalem)

May 19 - 28, 2012 (dates many vary with airline selection)

Tentative Price: ~$1,750 without airfare (full details soon)

Guesthouse / Hotel Costs - Guesthouse in Addis Ababa for duration of trip. One night stay in Yirgalem, Ethiopia at a cozy lodge nestled in the jungle.  One night stay in Awassa.  Includes most breakfasts.

Transportation - Total cost of ground travel in-country.

COEEF will facilitate the booking of your airfare if you choose to travel with the group rate / airline.

Actual Cost of Airfare - COEEF will facilitate the booking of your airfare if you choose to travel with the group rate / airline. Airfare is required to get from Addis Ababa to Axum.

Guesthouse / Hotel Costs - Guesthouse in Addis Ababa for duration of trip. One to two nights stay at a hotel in Axum.

Transportation - Total cost of ground travel in-country.

Student Group Costs - Any meals and/or transportation associated with the planned sponsored student activities. This covers your sponsored student and yourself for designated activities.

*Each trip includes a general donation that will help fund a project you may choose to contribute your time to on the trip, assistance to fund the planning and execution of the trip and funding to help the girl's education program.

**You will be responsible for your own meals and activity costs unless otherwise indicated above or in the itinerary. These costs, and any other souvenir purchases, will not be included in the above price.
