Children's Stories:
Mia lived
in Ethiopia before being
adopted by a United States family. Recently, for an assignment in her
English class she wrote about Mr. Norm, COEEF, and her desire to help
other people. You may remember her picture from the cover our our first
pamphlet.
To find out a
little more about Mia and her view of COEEF, read her report.

Meseret
Defar,
honorary director of the Mesgana Dancers and supporter of COEEF won the
bronze medal in the Women's 5000 meter (8/22/08) and set a new Indoor World Record (2/19/09). We offer
our
congratulations and wish her well in her future competitions.
Meseret, and her husband, Teddy, have been strong supporters of COEEF
students and good friends. We appreciate all they do to
support
our efforts to educate the girls of Ethiopia. On our last
trip to
Ethiopia in January 2008 she spoke to our students over ‘speaker phone’
at the Phase Academy. Needless to say, the girls were
thrilled! Thanks Meseret and Teddy!
